The Floating Market is a great day trip outside of Bangkok. The most popular one is an hour outside of Bangkok, and it’s called Damnoen Sanduak Floating Market. You get on a longtail boat, and then the ride begins. Typically, tour guides will take you on a tour that runs about 15 U.S. dollars. There is lots of traffic along the river. You may feel like you are back in Bangkok traffic again, only on the water! There is everything from paintings to Thai handicrafts, to t-shirts to Thai fruit for sale. Come with an appetite because there are many Thai food market sellers. Expect to bargain your price with the sellers, but they are very savvy.
